Rob Jacobs grew up with a love for all things math and science—often eating dinner while solving algebra problems with his dad. He put that to work designing rockets and satellites as he studied engineering at Utah State University. While completing his Ph.D. at Stanford University, he built software to analyze the aerodynamics of military aircraft. After working for a software development firm for several years, Rob co-founded his own company developing business software for numerous Fortune 50 and smaller companies. Rob founded his first investment advisory firm in 2008 and subsequently founded White Pine Financial, which is named after one of his favorite lakes in Logan Canyon (ask him about it sometime). He specializes in helping individuals and families create and implement strategies to meet their financial goals and save taxes. For business owners, he is an expert in 401(k) and Cash Balance plans. Rob holds the Chartered Retirement Plans Specialist™ (CRPS) designation. Rob loves spending time with his beautiful wife, amazing kids (yes – there are nine), perfect grandkids (2 and counting), and entertaining dogs (yep – 3 of them). Life is good.
